When it comes to a home-based business I have really been around the block and back. You may know how it goes - try this and it doesn’t work, try that and it doesn’t work, get frustrated here, get frustrated there only to find each and every time that you’re out of pocket even more money - again!
I learned that most people fail because they fail to realize what makes a good Primary Business. I jumped around from program to program, always looking for “the next big thing” and finally through the help of some really smart and successful people, I GOT IT!

you must have a STRONG & SOLID Primary Business!
I learned many things in the last few years that no one had ever explained before. There are a ton of programs out there that people are joining by the thousands but they’re not stopping to ask themselves the questions that really matter. Instead they fall for the fancy websites and the powerful words spoken by recruiters, they sign up, and then then they ask themselves “now what?” They don’t make money, lose money - and quit!
Before joining any company you must ask yourself some basic questions:
How long as the company been around for?
Pre-Launch, Ground-Floor Opportunity, This Is New, Get In Now, and all that stuff may sound good at first, but will the company be around tomorrow to pay you? After all they’re new so who knows if they will survive? If you join a new company, work real hard to make your business grow but then the company closes down where does that leave you?
What does the company sell?
Experts agree that to be successfull you must join a company that has products or services people actually want - EVEN IF THEY DECIDE NOT TO DO THE BUSINESS. Yet many people are joining the flashy businesses only for the business opportunity and don’t realize that if people get tired or discouraged about the business opportunity, they will leave and not continue buying. So, as the experts say, make sure you join a company with products or services that people will want and purchase with-or-without the business opportunity. It can make the difference between success or failure for your business.
Have you compared dollar for dollar, enrollee for enrollee, what the payplan will pay you for your hard work?
I can’t believe people don’t stop and look at this one very seriously (again, I guess it’s because they fall in love with hype and the flashy websites). There are companies out there that will pay you $1 per month, per person. That means to make $3,000 in one month, you would need 3,000 people in your downline! Ouch! How about the one that targets stay-at-home moms, is very popular, and pays you approximately $5 per month per person? (on approximately a $100 sale?)
What’s the Retention Rate?
The proof is right here. If a particular home business is so great then it’s obvious that people who join will stick around and stay. Right? Make sense? After all, if the home business is truly so great, people will make money so they won’t leave. Right? So a great measure of a viable home business is it’s retention rate. How many people stick around after they join?
